AGM


We had our AGM on Saturday 02/06/07 where Murray S and Kath D were voted onto the committee, they are a welcome addition and I am sure they will do a great job.

Hartley Signs For Celtic




CELTIC are delighted to announce that Paul Hartley has completed his move to the Scottish Champions. The player has signed a two-and-a-half year deal, with Celtic having the option of a further year.

And it's a dream move for Hartley, a lifelong Celtic supporter.

Pressley Signs For Celtic




FORMER Hearts defender Steven Pressley signed on for Celtic today in a deal that will keep him at the club until at least May 2008.

The last-gasp move came despite the Scotland internationalist passing a medical with Alan Pardew’s Charlton Athletic down south in the Premiership.

Strachan laughs off Beckham link


Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has laughed off suggestions he has a chance of signing David Beckham, who is also being linked with Tottenham Hotspur.

The 31-year-old has not been a regular in Real Madrid's first team this season and is out of contract next summer.

Celtic & Spurs linked to Beckham


Celtic and Tottenham may be interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham in January.

The 31-year-old has not been a regular in Real's first team this season and is out of contract in the summer of 2007.

"I have David's telephone number," Celtic manager Gordon Strachan told the Sunday Telegraph. "He is a wonderful player who is still very fit."

Balde remains in Strachan's plans


Celtic manager Gordon Strachan insists defender Bobo Balde remains firmly in his plans for the future.

Newspaper reports had claimed that former Celtic manager Martin O'Neill is lining up a £1.5m offer to take Balde to Aston Villa in January.

But Strachan says he will not entertain any bids for the 31-year-old.

And he revealed that injuries mean that the Guinea defender has a chance of returning for the Scottish Premier League clash against Motherwell.

Double injury concern for Celtic


Celtic duo Aiden McGeady and Craig Beattie are fitness concerns ahead of Saturday's trip to Dundee United.

Midfielder McGeady damaged an ankle in training with the Republic of Ireland, while striker Beattie was hurt in the reserve victory over Rangers.

Beattie aggravated a hamstring injury after just 26 minutes of the 3-2 win at Broadwood on Tuesday.

Celtic coach Kenny McDowall said: "It is very disappointing because Craig has been working extremely hard."

The 22-year-old forward has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons.
